The need for Playfora arose when CEO and founder Jeff Spencer saw the real-world issues with donations in nonprofits. Spencer saw a market for normal people who are regularly running social events to easily donate a portion of their earnings to nonprofits.

The idea for Playfora was born, but Spencer soon realized that in order to gain access to this technology, he needed to navigate the rules and regulations that go along with it.
